Cleaning Shower Enclosures

Nothing is worse than stepping into shower enclosures, expecting to take a nice, long shower, only to look around and see scum, mold, hair, and other gross things. For those who do have a reaction, things such as a runny nose, cough, itching, burning eyes, and even asthmas along with other respiratory problems are common. Again, shower enclosures are a prime attractor for mold due to the perfect dampness and temperature. In addition, shower enclosures provide many appetizing things for mold to eat. Okay, so how can you control mold in your shower? First, if you use a shower curtain, scrub it with a good disinfectant made specifically to fight mold. If the shower curtain is made from vinyl or fabric, wash it in hot water. Then, if the shower curtain can be bleached, this too will kill the mold.

Another option for cleaning mold from shower enclosures is to scrub your shower from top to bottom once a week, again with a good disinfectant. Then during the week and in between cleaning, spray on a shower spray that helps cut back the growth of mold. Theses steps are easy, making a huge difference in the appearance and health level of your bathroom. After all, shower enclosures should be clean so when you step in to shower, taking time to relax after a crazy day at the office, you want to know the space is clean and safe.
