Bath Decor: Five Simple Ideas for Great Bathroom Style

Let’s face it, bath décor is not a priority on any list of home design projects. However, you can literally transform the look of your bathroom using these quick and easy ideas. Furthermore, the items that are used to decorate your bathroom have another, more practical use inside your bathroom, so your budget can be stretched to the maximum. If you are tired of feeling uninspired by your bathroom, make the move to get great bathroom style quickly and easily. Bath décor is simple, so consider these fun and fantastic fixes that can make your bathroom look like a million bucks, but only cost a few pennies.

The spa theme is a huge trend these days in bath décor. Think calm, neutral spaces that can nourish your body and spirit after a long day. Regardless if you have a fantastic spa quality bathtub or a tiny apartment bath, you can easily achieve a relaxing spa look in your home. Think about neutral colors in creams, whites, and browns. Also, invest in thick, luxurious, fluffy towels that can double as decorative touches. Roll or stack towels in decorative boxes for the added effect. Hang monogrammed bath robes on hooks around your bathroom for another luxurious effect. Also, throw out all of your ugly bath products and invest in inexpensive decorative containers for your soaps, bath salts, shampoos, and lotions. Since you need these items for your daily bath routine anyways, you can keep your costs at a minimum while still enjoying beautiful bath décor.

For a kid’s bathroom, consider a fun and funky theme for bath décor. Make a trip under the sea and allow your child’s imagination to thrive. Using simple paint, you can literally transform the look of any room for just a couple of dollars. If you are interested in truly taking a dive under the sea, consider painting the walls and even the ceiling in a beautiful shade of blue. Using stickers or paint, add fish, aquatic plants, and sea shells to the walls and ceiling. Since most kids have an abundance of bath time toys, invest in suction cup net that will hold the toys and double as a unique display of bath décor.

A teenager’s bathroom deserves special bath décor. Consider creating a color scheme of bright, juicy colors of oranges, greens, yellows, and pinks. Since all teenagers have an abundance of bath products, invest in colorful plastic bottles and transfer the goodies to more attractive packaging. Hang simple shelves for added storage and display these lovely bottles filled with their favorite bath goodies. Also, consider unique ways to decorate the room, such as decoupaging the walls with photocopies of your teen’s favorite photographs. Do not forget to include a full length mirror in the room so that you teen can check out his or her duds before zipping off to school in the morning. These mirrors are quite inexpensive and can attach directly to the back of a door if no other space permits, allowing for small space bath décor.

A small powder room deserves a powerful punch of bath décor. Since powder rooms are typically small spaces, take out everything that is not necessary. For this reason, a minimalist design is especially useful in these cramped quarters. Find a lovely pump bottle for liquid soap or a stylish soap dish for bar soaps. Add in a towel and you are halfway there. Consider using decorations for the walls instead of other things that take up precious space. For example, frame a collection of magazines, newspapers, or even greeting cards for a unique look that adds to the clever bath décor.
