Bathroom Accessory: Storing a Bathroom Accessory for Easy Access

When it comes to the necessary bathroom accessory that everyone needs in their life, storage may prove a problem, especially in smaller bathrooms that lack a proper bathroom vanity or space for adding a special cabinet for storage purposes. If you find yourself squeezed into a tiny bath with nowhere to stash any of the essential items, consider maximizing your space so that everything has its proper place in your bathroom. From toilet paper to deodorant to other items that are considered a bathroom accessory, consider these space saving tips and techniques to avoid mess and frustration.

Use baskets to stash a bathroom accessory. As it’s nice to store you bathroom items in an aesthetic container, consider using baskets. Look to your local discount store or home design store to find a wide variety of baskets that can be purchased for a few dollars. Those few dollars can go a long ways in making your bathroom look polished and put together. Keep in mind that there are a wide variety of materials used for basket weaving, so consider water resistant materials that will not mildew or mold in a damp environment. Baskets are a hot design trend and are used in a wide variety of situations to hold your favorite bathroom accessory and everything in between.

Another tip is to hide a bathroom accessory with curtains. Even if your bathroom is not equipped with a linen closet, turn an unused nook or corner into a storage space by using a simple curtain on a spring tension rod. This is a great way to stash all those extras and necessities well out of sight, drawing from the old adage, “out of sight, out of mind.” Also, use curtains to create a storage space around a pedestal sink by using Velcro strips to affix fabric panels. By hiding your unseen bathroom accessory using fabric panels or curtains, you can create a sense of style, organization, and design for mere pennies.

Go vertical with bathroom accessory storage. Since most bathrooms lack floor space, look up when searching for bathroom storage. Hang wall cabinets or shelves that will provide storage for all of your bathroom items. Store your commonly used items lower on the shelves and save the high spaces for those rarely used necessities or decorations. If you plan on situating a shelf or cabinet in the space over the toilet, ensure there is a protective rack or doors in place to prevent your bathroom accessory from splashing into the toilet below.

Organize your bathroom accessory to garner the largest results. It can be said that organized spaces tend to use every square inch of available space. Instead of allowing your bathroom items to become cluttered, carefully keep all of your items separated and organized. In addition to maximizing your storage space, you will also be able to keep better track of your bathroom accessory, which can prevent you from wasting money on doubles of products or items that you no longer use.
